Kelly Taylor

Kelly David Taylor, 39, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012. He passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones.Kelly was a 1991 graduate of Red Bank High School and a 1996 graduate of Carson Newman College. He was a member of the Philomathean Literary Society and an Eagle Scout. His hobbies included hiking, 18th century reenactment and woodworking.He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Tonia Bowling Taylor; mother, Nancy Taylor; father, Robert Taylor; brother, Todd (Pam) Taylor; nephew, Taylor Lowe; aunt, Kathleen Ling; mother-in-law, Rebecca Bowling; father-in-law, Bill (Kay) Bowling; sister-in-law, Suzie Bowling; grandmother-in-law, Ernestine Thomas; and beloved dog, Freeman.A special thank you to Vanderbilt Clinic and 10th Floor, Dr. Schlabach and Erlanger West Wing 7th Floor for the wonderful care given Kelly during his 17 month battle with leukemia.A memorial service celebrating Kellys life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at Brainerd Baptist Church with Dr. Robby Gallaty officiating.Visitation will follow the service, 11:30 a.m.- 1 p.m. A private graveside service for the family was held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, at Chattanooga Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Brainerd Baptist Church or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.Visit www.lanefh.com to share condolences.Arrangements by Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace.
