Joe Gribble

Joe C. "PaPa" Gribble, 81, passed away at his residence on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012.A longtime resident of Rossville and Chattanooga areas, he was a veteran of the U. S. Army. Joe was born in Lafayette, Ga., the son of Andy and Viola Gribble. He was of the Baptist faith.Joe was preceded in death by his wife Mildred Olene Atkins Gribble; son Steve Gribble, brother T.C. Gribble.Survivors include son Mike (Nena) Gribble; daughter Diane Hicks; grandchildren, Mike Jr., Joe, Buford, and Kelly; great-grandchildren, Aaron and Justin; brother Harold Gribble; sisters, Ann Owen, Pauline Cross, Betty Hicks, Doris Miller, Judy Thompson; and several nieces and nephews.A Private family burial was held Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012 in Valley Head, Alabama.Arrangements are by Advantage Funeral Cremation Services Franklin Strickland Pinkard Bryan Smith Funeral Directors 1724 McCallie Ave 423-265-4414
