Maxine Bell

Maxine Baldwin Bell, 64, of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012 in a local hospital. She was a member of Second Missionary Baptist Church. She was a registered nurse and retired from Memorial Hospital after many years of service. She was a member of the American Nephrology Nurses' Association and was a past board member of the Greater Chattanooga Kidney Foundation. She was preceded in death by her mother, Bertie Lee Baldwin Looney; sister, Loretta Baldwin Coker; and cousin, May Bell Gibson. Survivors include sons, Victor Bell, Sean (Anita) Bell, both of Chattanooga and Aaron Christopher Bell, of Adelanto, Calif.; 6 grandchildren; brother, David (Sarah) Looney, Sr., of Birmingham, Ala.; sisters, Sarah Baldwin (Jerome) Matthews and Maudell Satterwhite (Doug) Foster, both of Chattanooga; several nieces; nephews; cousins; close friends, Hal Day, Jackie Scaife, Gwen Ervin, Dr. Frank Miller and many others. The body will lie-in-state today after Noon at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Monday, Oct. 8, at 1 p.m. at Second Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Paul McDaniel as the eulogist. Burial: Greenwood Cemetery.
