LaFAYETTE Richard Arlen McClung, 77, passed away Monday, Oct. 8, 2012.He was born to the late Lyman F. and Hazel Furby McClung in Harrison, W.Va. He attended the Assembly of God Church in LaFayette, retired Veteran of the United States Army where he received numerous medals including both the Silver and Bronze Stars. He also retired from the Georgia State Department of Corrections.Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Carol and Jeff Ferrell, of LaFayette and Crystal McClung, of North Carolina; three brothers, Rusty and Bobby McClung, of West Virginia and Randy McClung, of Florida.A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012, in Chattanooga National Cemetery.The family will meet at the funeral home at 1 p.m. to follow in procession to the cemetery.
