JASPER William "Bill" Pilgrim, 83, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2013.He retired from Wheland and was the former owner of Pilgrims Bait and Tackle Shop.Bill was preceded in death by his son, Billy Pilgrim; parents, Marshall Pilgrim and Hattie Layne Pilgrim Smith, brothers, Pat Smith, Albert and Marshall Pilgrim; sisters, Evelyn Peacock and Ann Smith; and grandson, Michael Lowrey.He is survived by his wife, Louise Webb Pilgrim; sons, Charles (Libby) Pilgrim and Gary Pilgrim; daughter, Faye (Joe) Lowrey; daughter-in-law, Renee; siblings, Paul (Tammy) Pilgrim, Ted (Sue) Smith and Johnny (Charlotte) Smith; grandchildren, Becca, Jennifer, Heather, Amy and Pam; and four great-grandchildren; and a close family friend and caregive, Michael Wooten.Funeral services will be conducted from the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. CDT on Thursday, April 18, 2013, with Brother Roger Webb officiating.Interment will follow in Havron's Chapel Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. CDT today, April 17, 2013.To send online condolences visit www.tatefh.com.Arrangements by Tate Funeral Home, Jasper, Tenn., 423-942-9500.
