FLAT ROCK Ann Riddick Murrell Jones, 86, died Friday, April 19, 2013. Raised in the Saint Elmo area, she graduated from Chattanooga High School and went on to graduate from the University of Tennessee with a degree in Civil Engineering. She was a member of the Kappa Delta Sorority at the University of Tennessee.She lived most of her adult life on a small farm in northeast Alabama raising various herbs, her favorite being rosemary. She was retired from Provident Life and Accident.Mrs. Jones is preceded in death by her husband Thompson Wolle Jones; her father Edward Garrett Murrell; her mother Mary Mabel Murrell; her brother Edward "Sonny" Murrell; and her sister Mary Mabel Fitch.She is survived by her children Edward (Carla) Jones, Lucia Beiler, Judith Jones, and Benjamin (Nancy) Jones; and grandchildren Sadie-Anne, Rebekkah, Jared, and Hannah.Funeral services will be held at Noon Tuesday, April 23, at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Rev. Dale Watson officiating.
