Kathy Summers

Kathy Jean Summers, 57, passed away on Friday, April 19, 2013, in a local hospital.She was employed with Top Flight for over 25 years.She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ruby Summers; and sister, Sandy Summers.Survivors include her son, Derrick Summers Sr.; two grandchildren, Derrick "DJ" Summers Jr., Derrileque Renee Summers; three brothers, Terry, Jerry, and Rickey Summers; close friend, Reshida Young; other relatives and friends.Funeral will be held at noon Wednesday, April 24, 2013, in the chapel. Interment in Highland Cemetery.The body will lie in state after noon today with the family receiving friends from 6-7 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Avenue, 622-9995.
