Lebron Derrick, 63, passed away Friday, April 19, 2013.Lebron was a graduate of Howard High School Class of 1966. He retired from TVA and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.He was preceded in death by parents, Doris Derrick and Miriam Sanford; brother, Charles Sanford; nephew Derwin Colbert; grandmother, Arnez Derrick Henry.Survivors include his wife, Zarma Derrick; children, Noble (Roxanne N.) Nichols, Dominic Johnson, Miriam Derrick, Nikia (Tracy) Jones and Christopher (Cyrstal Alfred) McKibbens; 16 grandchildren; brothers, Melvin, Adam and Edward; sisters, Gail, Faye and Dorothy; aunt, Bobby; several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at noon Wednesday, April 24, 2013 in the funeral home chapel.Interment: Chattanooga National Cemetery. The body will lie in state after noon today and the family will receive friends this evening from 6-8 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Avenue, 622-9995.
