William Day

William Isaac Day, 71, of Ooltewah, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2013.He was born in Henderson, Ky., to the late Aubrey and Bonnie Day. He was a Vietnam veteran for the Air Force. He was also a minor league baseball player and bowled on the regional tour of the PBA. Worked as a State and Federal Authorized Safety inspector which allowed him to live and work all over these United States for over 35 years. His other interests were casinos, horse racing, fishing and bowling.He is survived by his wife, Nadine Day; stepsons, Terry Wainwright, Travis Wainwright, of South Dakota, Lyle Wainwright, of Iowa; son, William Day, of Indiana; sisters, Anna Brooks, Sarah Maynard, Barbara Howell, Cynthia Orshovsky, of Indiana.The family will receive friends from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, April 28, 2013, at the family home.Arrangements by Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, Valley View Chapel.
