Betty Knight

DAYTON Betty Puera Lee Riddle Knight was called home Thursday, April 25, 2013, to be with her Lord.She was born Aug. 15, 1920.Betty was a longtime member of New Union Baptist Church and served as Sunday School teacher for many years. Even though she has been unable to attend church for the last few years, she loved her church, church family and her ministers.She retired from the position of office manager for Rhea County Nursing Home where she worked for 18 years.Betty is survived by her son, Richard and daughter-in-law, Karen Knight; granddaughter, Sarah (Matt) Campbell; grandson, Adam (Amy) Knight. She, also, has four great-grandchildren, Ayden and Ava Knight and Sawyer and Graham CampbellShe was preceded in death by her husband RB. "Boss" Knight; parents, Roy and Edna Riddle; and sister, Jeannie Bishop.Bettys family would like to thank Dr. Alan Crews, Amedysis Home Health, and Amedysis Hospice for the excellent care they have given Betty over the years.Her family is being served by Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home in Dayton. Pastor Rob Armstrong and Dr. Danny Ruehling will conduct her service.Betty will be laid to rest next to her husband in Rhea Memory Gardens.
