Sr.Jimmie Lee Redmond Sr., 69, passed Monday, April 22, 2013, in a local health care facility.He retired from Town & Country Restaurant after 35 years of service.Proceeding him in death are his parents, Otis and Bessie Redmond Sr.; brother, Calvin Johnson; and nephew, William Johnson.Left to cherish loving memories is his wife, Mamie Redmond; son, Jimmy Lee Redmond Jr.; goddaughter, Samantha Reid; granddaughter, Erica Redmond; great-grandchildren, Justice, Mariah, Ariel, Derris; brothers, Otis Jr. and Chad Redmond, Hilton, Bobby and Kenneth Johnson; sisters, Shirley Gordon, Joann Moore, Regina and Robin Byrd; mother-in-law, Lena Wise; brother-in-law, Willie (Barbara) Kitchens Jr.; sisters-in-law, Mary and Annie Kitchens; Bonnie (Gerald) McKissack, Beverly (Al) Glass; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.Funeral service will be aaat 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 2013 in the Chapel of John P. Franklin Funeral Home with Rev. Dave Swanson officiating. Interment at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.The body will lie in state today from noon to 8 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
