Lula Lane

Lula Katherine Lane joined the Lord in Heaven on Monday Aug. 5, 2013, after a courageous battle with cancer.A lifelong Chattanooga resident, Lula was preceded in death by Robert J. Lane, her husband of 57 years; and a beloved daughter, Sherry Lane.Lula was loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.She is survived by two sons, James Lane and Rob (Anna) Lane; four grandchildren, Cassie Lane, Dustin Lane Derrick Lane and Natalie (Bradley) McNabb as well as two great-grandchildren, Joshua and Jesse McNabb. Lula also leaves behind several brothers and sisters, Margie Massengale, L.D. Massengale, Charles Massengale, Johnny (Susie) Massengale and Mamie Dye as well as several nieces and nephews including Patty Lane who Lula thought of as a second daughter.Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, at the North Chapel Chattanooga Funeral Home.The family will receive friends from 4 until 8 p.m. today, Aug. 7, at the funeral home.
