Shirley Ann CarterShirley Ann Clark Carter, 72, of Hixson, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 4, 2013, at Memorial North Park.Shirley was a member of the Hixson First Baptist Church for over 40 years and was a member of the Agape Sunday School Class. She was the president of the Golden Glows. Shirley retired as a X-ray Tech.Shirley was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Charles K. Carter Sr.; and parents, Alvin and Winona Suggs Clark.Shirley is survived by her sons, Ken (Kendrah) Carter and Ron (Meme) Carter; grandson, Noah Carter; brother, Steve (Wanda) Clark; several nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends today from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service at Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel.Funeral service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. today, Aug. 7, in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Joel Wood and Rev.
