Majel Templeton

FORT OGLETHORPE Majel Louise Silvey Templeton, 76, passed away on Friday, Aug. 16, 2013.She was a lifelong resident of North Georgia and attended Shields Baptist Church. She retired from Dixie Yarn in 1997 after 28 years.Majel was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Kenneth Templeton; parents, Walter Maynard and Mary Alice Stulce Silvey; and sister, Lt. Col. W. Raye Silvey.She is survived by her children, Karen Ackerly, of Ringgold and Walter Templeton, of Union Grove, Ala.; brother Darrel Silvey, of Chattanooga; special nephew, Ryan Templeton; five grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 18, 2013, in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Bill Proctor and the Rev. Greg Nash officiating.Interment will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.The family will receive friends after noon on Sunday.Arrangements by W.L.
