Katie Hicks

Katie Dora Hicks, 97, of Carson, Calif., passed away peacefully on Monday, Aug. 19, 2013. She was born on Nov. 6, 1915 in Madison, Ala. and had been a resident of Carson, Calif. Katie is survived by her loving children, Richard Hicks, Robbie Sanderfur, Edward Hicks Jr., David Hicks and Franklin Hicks; 21 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. E.L. Hicks and daughter, Lillian McBee.Visitation will be held on from 3-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013, at Green Hills Mortuary with a memorial service on Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Green Hills Memorial Chapel in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.Announcment made by Taylor Funeral Home of Chattanooga Inc.
