Thelma Potts

LEESVILLE, N.C. Thelma Ernestine "Tina" Potts, 86, passed away Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013.Mrs. Potts was born in Elizabeth City, N.C., daughter of the late Ernest William Shelby and Nell Luttrell Shelby. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church. She was married to the late Raymond "Smokey" Potts.Surviving are her sons, Tim Potts and Bill Potts; daughter, Shelby Goodwin; brother, Charles "Bug" Shelby; sister, Josephine "Jo" Weaver; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.She was predeceased by a sister, Virginia "Ginger" Antte.In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to: Salem Baptist Church, Salems Youth Group, 2226 Denny Highway, Saluda, SC 29138.Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today, at Salem Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery with Rev. Jerrod Marshall officiating.Active pallbearers are Arty Potts, Ronnie Antte, Lee Haggard, Raymond Lucas, Colton Goodwin and Alex Goodwin.Honorary pallbearers are Steve Pilgrim.Visitation will be held from 2-3 p.m. today, prior to the service at the church.Condolences may be expressed at miltonshealy.com.
