MONTEAGLE Margaret Neil Boyer, 80, passed away Friday Aug. 23, 2013 in St. Thomas Hospital, Nashville. She was born Dec. 24, 1932 in Adams, Tenn., a daughter of the late Audie Lee and Lela McNeil Brooksher.She was preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm Boyer; great-grandson, Emmett Walker; brother, Richard Brooksher; sister, Nancy Woody.Survivors: children, Charles (Kathy) Boyer, Dunlap, Tenn., Linda (Charles) Smith, Manchester, Sue Boyer, Brentwood; grandchildren, Amy Walker, Charlotte, N.C., Amanda Norton, Dunlap, Charles Overton Boyer, Pikeville; great grandchildren, Connor Norton, Alyvia Boyer, and Owen Boyer; sisters, Elizabeth Sanders, Mary Alice Callis, Carlene Conquest and Betty Clinton; sisters-in-law, Dot Biggers, Nita Morgan and Shirley Armstrong; numerous nieces and nephews; her church family at Monteagle First Baptist Church where she was a long time member.Services are 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26, in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Daryll Smiley officiating.Burial: Monteagle Cemetery.Visitation: 1-8 p.m. today and Monday 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.online condolences can be made at www.cumberlandfuneralhome.net.Arrangements by Cumberland Funeral Home, Monteagle, 931-924-2381.
