Emory Lee Shipp, 71, of Chattanooga passed away on Sunday, Aug. 25, 2013, in a local hospital.He was preceded in death by his father, John Shipp; step-father, Harvey Close.He is survived by his mother, Virginia Ruth Close; son, John Halbert; daughters, Susie Shipp, Pam (Mike) Hass; brother, Eddie (Phyllis) Close; two grandchildren, Kristen Wolfe and Katie Hass; two nieces, Callie (Alex) Fishel, and Kristie Close; one grandniece, Alexis Fishel; one grandnephew, Nicholas Allen.The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Aug. 28, from 6-8 p.m. at the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Home or you may visit the online guestbook @ www.turnerfamilyfuneralhome.comFuneral service will be held at the graveside at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 29, in Forest Hills Cemetery with the Rev.
