VILLANOW Vernon Jackson Hall, 76, died Sunday, Aug. 25, 2013.He was a member of Welcome Gap Baptist Church. Vernon retired from the U.S. Forestry Service, where he worked for 35 years.Preceded in death by sister, Opal Hunt; brothers, Cecil Hall, Leonard Hall; parents, Bub and Pyrene Hall.Survived by loving wife, Sue Shaw Hall; son and daughter-in-law, Andy and Kim Hall, of Villanow; sisters, Edith Baker, of Tunnel Hill, and Ruby Weakes, of Rocky Face; brothers, Dallas and wife, Dot Hall, of Rocky Face, Ken and wife, Joyce Hall, of Naomi, Johnny Hall, of Rocky Face; granddaughter, Lauren Hall; grandson, Scott Samples; great-grandchild, Abigail Samples; several nieces and nephews also survive.Funeral from the Wallis Memorial Chapel at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Conducted by Rev. Clifford Chambers.Interment in White Cemetery.Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. today.The arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
