Dorothy Moore "Sis" Smith, 80, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013, in Chattanooga.Dorothy was an active member of the Howard Alumni Class of 1951, where she served as secretary. Dorothy retired from SunTrust Bank after 30 plus years of service. Dorothy was a longtime member of Olivet Baptist Church and attended New City Fellowship Church.Dorothy was preceded in death by her mother and father, Ellen J. Moore and William Moore.She is survived by her brother, James Moore.She is survived by her children, Ellen E. (David) Smith-Barlow, Grady (Valerie) Smith II and Myron L. (Sonya) Smith Sr.; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.Homegoing services will be at Noon Saturday, Aug. 31, at Olivet Baptist Church.Interment in Highland Cemetery.The body will lie in state today at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
