Jimmie Nolan

Jimmie Ruth Varner Nolan, 79, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 28, 2013. She was a 1958 graduate of Edmondson School of Business and retired from the State of Tennessee after of 27 years of service. Jimmie was a veteran of the U.S. Army. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Nolan, Sr.; and parents James Russell Varner and Grace Smith Varner. Survivors include her son, Charles "Eddie" (Judy) Nolan, Jr., of Dunlap; daughters, Kimberly (Randy) Jones, of Ooltewah and Susan Fisher, of Hixson; brothers, Howard Varner, Gerald Varner, Wallace Varner and Clarence Varner all of Soddy-Daisy, Elmer Varner, of Harrison and Arthur Varner, of Soddy-Daisy and Douglas Varner, of Cleveland; sister, Nellie Christine Lipp, of Missouri; grandchildren, Vanessa Nolan (Jessie) Harp, Mack Cunningham, Jonathan Fisher, Jessica Cunningham, Shane (Sarah) Nolan and Coby George; great grandchildren, Chloe Cunningham and Ryleigh Rowan and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 3, at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Chaplain Frank Nichols officiating. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with military honors.
