Robert Greenough

Robert Joseph Greenough, 70, died on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013, in Alabaster, Ala. Bob grew up in Chattanooga, graduated from Admiral Farragut Academy in St. Petersburg, Fla., and was a Navy Veteran, serving in the Bay of Pigs operations. Bob graduated from the University of Chattanooga, spending most of his career in Florida. He retired in Fort Lauderdale, eventually relocating to Birmingham. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert Ellsworth and Hope Hooper Greenough, of Chattanooga; his grandparents, Grace and Samuel Hooper, of Baltimore, Md., and Joseph and Lizzie Greenough, of New Bedford, Mass. He is survived by his brother, Thomas W. Greenough; his sisters, Bonnie Grace GreenoughHensley, and Rowena Rand Robinson; also, his nieces and nephews, Tara Alexis Bailey Christine Grace Bailey, Jack Winston Wilson and John Greenough Wilson. A private service is being planned.
