Chester Swafford

Chester Harlen Swafford, 86, of Chattanooga, passed away, Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013. He previously worked at Cumberland Case, Soddy-Daisy Police Department, Hamilton County Sherriff's Department and the Hamilton County Highway Department for 35 years. Chester was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Almeta Swafford; and three sisters; and four brothers. He is survived by wife, Elsie Lewis Swafford; and two daughters, Carolyn (Leonard) Baker and Gloria McCarty. Services will be 11 a.m. EST Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013, at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Worthington Cemetery in Pikeville, Tene. Visitation is 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Condolences and memories can be shared at www.williamsonandsons.com.
