Clyde Bush

Clyde B. Bush, 88, of Chattanooga, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013. Mr. Bush was born and raised in Chattanooga. He was a founding member of the former Westside Baptist Church now called Shelter Church. He retired as an Overhead Lineman with EPB and was a WWII Navy veteran. Clyde was also a member of the IBEW Local 846, a 5th degree Mason and belonged to the Chickamauga Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Elizabeth A. "Libby" Bush; parents, William and Myrtle Bush; grandson, Jared Bush; and brothers, James and Carl Bush. Surviving are his sons and daughters-in-law, Robert "Robin" and Teresa Bush, of Jackson, Tenn.; Rev. Dr. Clyde "Phil" and Carolyn Bush, of Alexandria, Va.; grandchildren, Amy and Doug Armstrong, Adrienne and Matt Beall, and Justin Bush; sisters, Flora Hundley, of Gunsight, Texas and Rita Duckworth, of Phoenix, Ariz.; and brother, Richard and Rita Bush, of Phoenix, Ariz.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 19, and 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 20, at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 20, 2013, at the funeral home with Rev. Sterling Jetton officiating. Burial will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
