Frank Tarvin Jr.

Frank "Frankie" DeForrest Tarvin Jr., 56, of Chattanooga, passed away Monday, Dec. 16, 2013. He was born in Chattanooga to the late Frank DeForrest Tarvin Sr. and Virginia Louise Neely Tarvin. He spent his childhood in Chickamauga and had resided all of his adult life in Chattanooga. He had worked for the medical supply industry in sales. He was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed going to the movies, working in his yard and playing golf. He also loved spending time with his beloved pets. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Debbie Culberson; a niece, Heidi Hughes; and a nephew, Eric Culberson. He is survived by his spouse, Sharon Tarvin; daughter, Ashley Tarvin, both of Chattanooga; sisters, Carolyn Cannon, of Cleveland, Tenn., Theresa "Buddy" Turner, Suzy Keeton, both of Chickamauga, Ga.; brother, Rocky Tarvin, of Ringgold, Ga.; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. today with the funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel with Dr. Darrell Henry officiating.
