Jack Clark

Jack Wilbur Clark, 86, of Ooltewah, went home to be with his Lord early Thursday morning on Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013, at his home. Member of Ooltewah United Methodist Church and Army veteran of WWII. Born May 19, 1927 in Greensboro, N.C., to the late Mary Smith Clark and Joseph Spoon Clark. A native of North Carolina, but lived in the Chattanooga area for over 70 years. Retired as a superintendent from Cambridge Construction Co. at the age of 82. Preceded in death by infant, Jennifer L. Clark; and siblings, Joe Clark and Franda Ervin. Survived by wife, Elizabeth J. Clark; sons, Jack and David Clark; daughters, Nancy Thomas and Emily McEvoy, sister, Betty Clark Jackson; grandchildren, Jordan Clark, Allison Malloy; Andrew Clark, Amanda Clark, and Ryan Thomas, five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog Babe. Graveside services and burial with military honors will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 23, 2013, at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Minister Will Conners as officiating. Receiving of friends and family will be held from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013, at funeral home chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
