Mary Anne McCarty McGrew, 75, left her home in Hixson and went to be with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013.Born in Chattanooga July 21, 1937, she was the daughter of the late William R. and Edith McCarty Sr. Mary Anne was a graduate of Red Bank High School and UTC. She retired from Provident Life and Accident Insurance Co. after 35 years of service.Currently a member of Valleybrook Presbyterian Church, she had also been a member of other local churches. Wherever she was, her church family was very important and Mary Anne served her Lord in various capacities, including Sunday School teacher, prayer group leader and mentoring others.She was also preceded in death by her son, Daniel L. McGrew Jr.Mary Anne is survived by her husband of 56 years, Daniel L. McGrew Sr.; daughter, Edie (Tim) Arnold; granddaughter, Emily Arnold; grandson, Will Arnold; and brother, William R. McCarty Jr. She was a loving, caring person who will be missed greatly by her family and all who knew and loved her.Memorial services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Valleybrook Presbyterian Church with Rev. Ron Ragon, Rev. Adel Thalos and Rev.
