Charles Lloyd

Charles "Buddy" Lloyd, 93, of Chattanooga, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, in a local healthcare facility.He was born to the late John and Janie Lloyd, he was preceded in death by his two wives; four sisters; son; three daughters.He was a former member of New Hope Baptist Church and was a present member of New Mount Carmel Baptist Church for 25 years and a veteran of the U.S. Army.Survivors are daughters, Doris Strong, Hattie (Lloyd) Cooper, Sharon, Shirley and Mary Lloyd, all of Chattanooga; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at New Mount Carmel Baptist Church with Rev. Floyd Whiteside officiating.Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.The body can be viewed from noon until 8 p.m. at the Chapel.Family hour is from 6 until 7 p.m.Arrangements are by Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services, Franklin-Strickland-Pinkard-Bryan-Smith Funeral Directors. 1724 McCallie Ave.
