SOUTH PITTSBURG Katherine Jewell Payne Smith, 79, died Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, in a local healthcare facility.The daughter of the late Joseph Roy and Frances Elizabeth Gibson Payne, she was a member of Richard City Cumberland Presbyterian Church.She was also preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Smith; son, Greg Smith; sisters, Frances Layne, Velma Jo Chance and Ruby Brown; and brother, James Leonard Payne.She is survived by her son, Ricky (Debbie) Smith, of South Pittsburg; daughter-in-law, Beverly Smith, of South Pittsburg; grandchildren, Melissa Beaty, Kevin Smith and Chastity (Doug) Bradford, all of South Pittsburg; great-grandchildren, Nicole Beaty and Gregory Bradford; several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be conducted from the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home at 10 a.m. CST today, Feb. 6, 2013, with Rev.
