Joshua McBryar

Joshua Corey McBryar, 35, a resident of East Ridge, passed away on Friday evening, Feb. 22, 2013 at his home.Josh was a lifelong resident of the area being born in Chattanooga on April 5, 1977, to parents Gordon and Jenny McBryar. He was of the Christian faith and attended Ooltewah United Methodist Church. Josh graduated from Chattanooga Central High School in 1995. He will be most remembered for being a loving and devoted husband and father to his two sons.Josh leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife, Debbie Voelp McBryar; two sons, Joshua Corey McBryar II and Cason Elias McBryar; his parents, Gordon McBryar (Donna) and Jenny Jenkins McBryar; three sisters, Jackie Smith, Christy Shavers (Michael) and Paula Vaughn; one brother, Tracy "Trey" McBryar. He is also survived by his lifelong best friend, Tim Allen, as well as numerous other extended family members and friends.A celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday morning, March 1, 2013, in the Chapel of Ooltewah United Methodist Church located at 6131 Relocation Way in Ooltewah,with Pastor Lewis Belva and Lee Wilson officiating.The family will receive friends at the church from 4 until 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, and also one hour prior to the service time on Friday.In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made in Joshs memory to the Miracle Lake Christian Training Center, Stop CMV.org or the Ooltewah United Methodist Church.You are encouraged to share a memory of Josh and/or your personal condolences with his family by visiting his memorial web page and guestbook at www.companionfunerals.com.Companion Funeral & Cremation Service and the Cody family are honored to assist the McBryar family with these arrangements.com.
