William Fryar

Sr.William Thomas Fryar Sr., 84, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, at a local healthcare facility.He was of the Baptist faith, and he was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Martha Crowe Fryar; his youngest son, Phillip Lee Fryar; his parents, and his siblings.He is survived by his son, Tommy (Joyce) Fryar; daughter, Theresa (Joe) Knight; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Tommy Fryar officiating.Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens with military honors.Family will receive friends from 5 until 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Tennessee Baptist Childrens Home, Chattanooga Campus, 6623 Lee Highway, Chattanooga, TN 37421, or Hospice of Chattanooga, P.O.
