Carolyn Cramer

Carolyn Dickerson Cramer, Our sweet loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, after a hard struggle with cancer.Born April 29, 1943 in Chattanooga to William Dickerson and Beatrice Merritt. Carolyn grew up in Chattanooga and graduated from Central High School, where she was a cheerleader and track star. She married Billy Ray Cramer of Chattanooga and raised two children. Her family was the most important thing in her life. Carolyns greatest joy were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was always on the sidelines or in the audience supporting us. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Carolyn loved sports of all kinds, especially softball, baseball and horseshoes. She also enjoyed stitching, embroidery and French smocking.She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ray Cramer; father, William Dickerson; and son, Billy Ray Cramer, Jr.Survivors include her daughter, Kathy (Jed) Beckstead, of TX; seven grandchildren, Heather and Amber Cramer, Tara Gamblin, Isabel, Sam, Hayden and Sarah Beckstead; four great-grandchildren, mother, Beatrice Davis, of Chattanooga, Tenn.; two brothers, Carl Dickerson, of Apison, Tenn., Ken Dickerson, of Sacramento, Calif.; sister, Diane Morgan, of Etowah, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 3, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Stake Center, 3067 Ooltewah-Ringgold Road, Ooltewah, TN, with Bishop Darrin Wolfe and Brother Jim Ward officiating.
