Charles Durham

Charles "Bobby" Durham, 63, passed away with angels around him on Monday, Dec. 31, 2012. Bobby was a 1967 graduate of Whitwell High School. He was retired from Wal-Mart in Kimball and Dunlap, Tenn.Bobby became blind the last few years, but this never kept him from enjoying life. He was an avid sports fan and his favorites were always the Whitwell Tigers, Atlanta Braves and The Tennessee Vols. He continued collecting baseball cards, listening to audio books and playing cards. Bobby had a good sense of humor and everyone liked him. His special pets were Sugar Bear, Maggie May and Miss Opie. He is already missed by his loving family.Bobby was preceded in death by his father, Charlie S. Durham and mother, Louise Freeman Durham.He was married to Sydney V. Durham for 14 years and he had two step-daughters, Vanessa (Melvin) Raulston of Dunlap and Teresa (Buddy) Smith of Jasper; grandchildren, Cody, Bailey, Ty, Anna and Zoe; cousins, Chris (Shelia) Blevins, Jean(Bob) Hall, Beverly(Ronnie) Tate; special friends, Chris Blevins and Gerald Allison; several nieces, nephews and friends. Family will receive friends 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST, Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013.Memorial Service 5 p.m. CST, Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Rev.
