Jean Greene

RINGGOLD Jean Cofer Greene, 82, passed away Monday Dec. 31, 2012. A native of Georgetown, Tenn., she has lived in the Ringgold area for the past 74 years and was a member of the Ringgold First Baptist Church.She is preceded in death by her husband, Mack Greene; mother, Lucille Shamlin Landen; father, French Cofer and brother, Carl Cofer. She is survived by her daughter, Wanda Greene of Peachtree City, Ga.; son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Charlene Greene, of Rossville, Ga.; two grandchildren, Ben and Kylie Greene; special nephew, Scott Watson, of Winterville, N.C.; and several other nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, at the Ringgold First Baptist Church with Dr. Dan Whitaker and Dr. Bruce Sloan officiating. Interment will follow at Anderson Cemetery. The family will receive friends today from 2-9 p.m. and Thursday until 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
