James Michael Smith, 51, of Chattanooga, went home to be with his Lord, Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013.He was born March 1, 1961 to the late Hugh Dorsey and Meryl Roy Smith. He was preceded in death by a brother, Andy Smith and a sister, Billie Jean Polston.Mr. Smith attended City Church. He was a loving husband, dad and brother with a great smile and since of humor. Once he entered your life he never left your heart.Survivors include his wife, Cindy Smith; children, Angie Croft and Danny Croft; grandchildren, Steven Green, Eli Croft and Julianna Croft; great-grandson, Alex Green; sister, Vicki West; and a brother, Jerry Smith.Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, in the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.Interment will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.The family will receive friends from noon-2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 6221 Shallowford Road, Chattanooga, TN 37421.Please share your thoughts and memories at www.chattanoogaeastchapel.com.Arrangements are by Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 S.
