Lillian Martin

TUNNELHILL Lillian Arabella Martin, 85, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Jan. 11, 2013. She was a life-long resident of the Chattanooga, North Georgia area.Lillian was a member of Clifton Hill Baptist Church where she was a pianist for 40 years. A lover of gospel music she comes from a long line of singers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herschel D. Martin; brother, Thurston Lee Smith; and parents, Paul and Mary Louise Smith. Survived by daughters, Sherry (Jerry) Morris, of Rock Spring, Bunzie Wininger, of Ooltewah; brothers, Paul Wayne Smith and James Lamar (Jimmy) Smith, of Rossville; sisters, Mildred Rowell, of Fort Oglethorpe, Delores Rittenhouse, of Tunnel Hill, and Betty Chapman, of Chickamauga; 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephewsFuneral services will be Monday, Jan. 14, at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Bruce Daugherty and Rev. Wayne Barber officiating. Interment will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, at Chattanooga National Cemetery.Visit www.heritagefh.com to share words of comfort with the family and view the memorial Tribute.
