Marjorie Higdon

GUNTERSVILLE, Ala. Marjorie Higdon, 76, formerly of Signal Mountain, passed away Monday, Jan. 14, 2013.Marjorie was a member of Evangel Worship Center and formerly a member of Signal Mountain Church of God. She was very active in both churches, taught Sunday School and Bible studies, was youth leader and choir director. The church and her family were her life.She was preceded in death by her grandson, Jerry Wayne Higdon.Survivors include her husband, Jerry Higdon; daughters, Pattie (Roy) McClure, of Knoxville and Debbie (Tony) Moore, of Guntersville, Ala.; sons, David (Sam) Higdon, of Soddy Daisy and Wayne (Sherry) Higdon, of Grant, Ala.; sister, Mildred (Lynn) Finlayson, of Florida; 12 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace with Reverend Rickey Bell, Reverend Chris Finlayson and Reverend Tim Finlayson officiating.
