DUNLAP Thomas McDowell, 74, died at his home Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013 with his loved ones. He was a Vietnam Veteran and member of East Valley Baptist Church.Preceded in death by parents, Sam and Ethel Mathis McDowell; brothers, Odis, Otto, Greer McDowell; sister, Violet Lively.Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Earlene Austin McDowell; sons, Earl (Tracie) McDowell, Bryan (Cassandra) McDowell, David (Devan) McDowell; grandchildren, Matthew, Marisa, and Megan McDowell, Nathaniel Lawson and Nataleigh McDowell; god-granddaughter, Summer Moffit, all of Dunlap; brother, R.J. McDowell, Eastover S.C.; sisters, Flossie Narramore and Claudia Tate, Dunlap; several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be 1 p.m. CST Saturday, Jan. 19, in Ewton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Terry Baker and Bro.
