Donald Brown

Donald Wayne Brown, 77, of Chattanooga, Tenn., passed away Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013. He was born Aug. 18, 1935 to the late Robert and Arrie Brown in Ringgold. He was a member of Spring Creek Church of God and previously attended Ringgold Church of God where he was a very active member. Donald retired from Hav-A-Tampa Cigar and Chattanooga Glass Company, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially, camping and cooking out. He was also preceded in death by his son, Jimmy Ray Brown; sisters, Dorothy Shope, Helen Brown and Julia Haggard; brothers, Bobby, J.C. and Gene Brown.Survivors include his Wife of 58 years, Louise J. Brown, of Chattanooga; son and Daughters-in-law, Donnie and Kathy Brown, and Johanna Brown, of Ringgold; four grandchildren, Jason, Jeff and Donald (Kerri) Brown, and Brittany (Wade) Olney; three great-grandchildren, Kaileigh, Kirstyn and Madison Brown and other family and friends. The family will receive friends from 3-9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. until service time on Tuesday, Jan. 22, at the funeral home.The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Mark Smith officiating.
