KINGSTON Sarah Crowe Barker, 75, Chattanooga native, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013.Born and raised in the family home in Avondale, she graduated from Chattanooga High School in 1955. She was employed at DuPont and at Velsicol Chemical prior to moving to Kingston in 1967. Sarah retired from Tennessee Valley Authority in 1989.Preceding her in death were her parents, Stewart M. and Sarah Ruth Quarles Crowe; brothers, George Crowe and S.M. "Bud" Crowe; sisters, Betty Nobles and Patsy Graham.Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Mark Barker; daughter, Becky (Earl) Price, of Bradenton, Fla.; son, Scott M. Barker, of Knoxville; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.There will be a gathering of family and friends for visitation from 4-8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at Fraker Funeral Home, 1445 Kingston Highway, Kingston, TN 37763.A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, at Benton Cemetery on Patty Road in Benton, Tenn.Memorial donations may be made to Benton Cemetery Fund, c/o Tim McClary, 1266 Patty Road, Benton, TN 37325.An on-line register book is available at www.frakerfuneralhome.net.Fraker Funeral Home of Kingston is in charge of all the arrangements.
