Barbara James

Barbara James, 74, of Hixson, died Sunday, June 30, 2013 at her home.Mrs. James was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga and retired from Dr. Lee Arnold's office with 32 years of service. She attended Hixson Presbyterian Church and was an avid sports fan. She was a daughter of the late, James Clifford and Bess Marler Thomas and was also preceded in death by her husband, McDowell Wellington James; and a nephew, Michael James Thomas.Survivors include her son, Steve (Sarah) James; grandchildren, Clint James and Celina James; brother, James L. (Dorothy) Thomas and niece, Janie (Don) Gray.Funeral services will be held Noon Tuesday, July 2, in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Robert Johnson officiating.
