Vanetta Ratcliff Vanetta Woods Ratcliff went peacefully to the arms of her Heavenly Father and Savior on Thursday, June 13, 2013.She was born in Bluefield W.Va. as the oldest daughter to Charles an Rosa Woods before moving to Cleveland, Tenn. Vanetta lived many places as a military wife to James Ratcliff and eventually returned to the Chattanooga area in her retirement.Proceeding her to heaven were her parents, husband, and brother, Ray Scott Woods; leaving to cherish her memory are her son, Robert Ratcliff; sister, Elizabeth Estelle Green; sister-in-law, Imogene Woods; nieces, Carolyn Woods Graham, Marolyn and Randy Saunders and Andrea Woods; six great-nieces and nephews; six great-great-nieces and nephews.The family would like to thank the staffs of Hickory Valley Retirement Center, Lifecare of Collegedale and Amedisys Hospice for the wonderful care provided to Vanetta during the past few years.Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, July 6, 2013, in Concord Hall at Concord Baptist Church on East Brainerd Road.Visit www.hertagefh.com to share words of comfort to the family.The family will receive friends beginning at 3:30 p.m. prior to the service at the church.Arrangements are by Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 East Brainerd Road.
