Dorothy Winton

Dorothy Winton, 88 of Signal Mountain went home to be with her Lord Wednesday July 3, 2013 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Rev. Hubert Winton. She was also preceded in death by her son Robert Eugene Winton; daughters, Sandra Green and Marcia Winton; and granddaughter Holly Law. She was a member of Sawyer Missionary Baptist Church. Dorothy was a very loving mother, grandmother and wife. She had many friends and will truly be missed.Survivor's, three daughters, Barbara (Rev. Larry) Miller, Trisha (Randy) Plank, Rhonda Winton, all of Signal Mountain; sister, Betty (Tommy) Vandergriff, Soddy Daisy; two brothers, Jimmy and Denny Moore both of Soddy-Daisy; fifteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; Several nieces and nephewsFuneral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday July 6, in the chapel of Lane Funeral Home 601 Ashland Terrace with the Rev. Larry Miller and the Rev. Richard Horner officiating. Interment will be in Sawyer Cemetery, Signal Mt. The family will receive friends from 4-8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
