Otha Woodard

Otha Mae Woodard, 77, passed away on Thursday morning, June 27, 2013, at Parkridge Hospital, ICU.Born in Greenville, Ga. on Aug. 18, 1935, she was the daughter of the late John Sr. and Nan Parks.She was preceded in death by her former husband, Willie Lew Woodard; and her beloved daughter, Juliet Woodard White; and siblings J. D. Parks and John Parks Jr.Her loving memories will be cherished by her beloved children, Jeanette Woodard McGhee, Alvin Woodard and Marvin Woodard; siblings, Thelma Jackson, Annie Hope Jackson, Elmire Alford, Wade Parks, Clifford Parks, Juanita (Roosevelt) Simmons; a host of relatives and friends.Special thanks to our Citico family past and present, for all the love and care you afforded our mother during her illness and given to our family throughout the years.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 5, 2013, at Greater New Home Baptist Church, located at 1001 McCallie Ave., with Elder Spotts officiating.Interment in Forest Hills Cemetery.The body will lie in state after Noon today and the family will receive friends from 78 p.m. this evening at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
