Loretta Bailey

ROSSVILLE Loretta Bailey, 90, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2013.She was a native of New York, had lived in Orlando, Fla., for 18 years, and resided in Rossville for over 45 years. She was a member of the Seniors and Friends in Fort Oglethorpe, and she retired in the 1990s from the Red Food/BI-LO in Rossville with over 15 years of service. Her passions in life were cooking, watching the Food Network, watching old movies, and in her early years she enjoyed dancing to the Big Band Music.She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Bailey; and sister, Marie Chapman.Survivors include her children, John (Andrea) McDaniel, of Flintstone, Sandra (Larry) Reed, of Flintstone, Brenda (Kyle) Kitt, of Andrews, Ind., and David (Leca) Bailey, of Hixson; five grandchildren, Angela Garren, Sean McDaniel, Jennifer Reed, Jason Kitt and Brandon Kitt; three great-grandchildren, Jay Bell, Madalyn Kitt and Reid Kitt; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.Donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.Condolences may be sent to www.lane-southcrestchapel.com.Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the South Crest Chapel with Chaplain Ray Mabe officiating.Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. today and from noon Wednesday until the funeral hour at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of Historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
