Bettye King

Bettye June Ryder King, 87, of Hixson, passed peacefully over to her Heavenly home on Thursday, July 25, 2013 in her home surrounded by her family. She attended Grace Bridge Church of Christ. Bettye enjoyed reading, watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved watching Grace and Mattie, our family puppies who brought her so much happiness. She walked her ramp to see her lily garden and roses when she could. She was the widow of Forrest Fielden King, Jr. and also preceded in death by sisters Magnolia, Idabell and Charlene and brother Charles.Survivors include her sons, Forrest and Keirl; daughters, Pattie and Karen; her closest grandchildren are Charles, Christina, Jennifer, Julie, Melissa and others; she had multiple great grandchildren.Funeral services are 1 p.m. Tuesday July 30, in the chapel with Minister Steve Campbell officiating. Burial will be in National Cemetery. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and one hour before services on Tuesday at Lane Funeral Home, 601 Ashland Terrace. 877-3524.
