James Robert Brown, 59, of Chattanooga, Tenn., passed on Tuesday July 23, 2013.He was preceded in death by his parents, Fletcher and Lula Bell Brown; son, Marcus Allen Brown; brothers, Samuel Brown of California; Tommy Brown, Fletcher Brown, Jr., Walter Brown and Charles Brown of Birmingham, Ala.; Eddie Brown, of Massachusetts.James Robert leaves 3 sisters, Mary F. Powell, Annie Ruth Lucas and Gwendolyn Brown; a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends; and a very special friend, Karen Innis.Services will be held on Tuesday, July 30, at 10 a.m. in the chapel. Interment National Cemetery.The body will lie in state after noon today and the family will receive friends from 6 7 PM at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Avenue, 622-9995.
