Wyatt Earp

Francis Wyatt Earp, a resident of East Ridge, passed away Monday, June 3, 2013, at his home.He was a member of South Pittsburg United Methodist Church. He was raised in Highland Park and was retired from the U.S. Army as an MP stationed in Germany. He was also retired from the Chattanooga Fire Department as a Captain and was owner of Best Buy Blinds. He and his wife owned Harem East Salon in Eastgate Mall.He was a member of Mountain City Masonic Lodge and the Retired Fire Fighters Association.He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Earp; a sister, Virginia Hudgens; and his parents, Alma and Russell Earp.Survivors include two sisters, Nancy Thompson and Christell Brown; one brother, Russell Earp; brother-in-law, Lawrence Roberts; several nieces and nephews.A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with his brother, Russell Earp officiating.The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. today at the funeral home.Please share your thoughts and memories at www.ChattanoogaEastChapel.com.
