Ralph Russell Armstrong died Saturday,June 8, 2013, at Chattanooga Standifer Place Hospice facility. He was born July 24, 1929.His body was donated to the University Of Tennessee School Of Medicine in Memphis, Tenn.Graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and Juris Doctorate degree at the School of Law, UT; member of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity; served in the U.S. Naval Reserve and Army ROTC at the University of Tennessee; Practicing attorney and member of the Hamilton County Bar Association, a former member of the Lions Club, resident of Cleveland, Tenn.Survived by: wife of 54 years, Mary Frances Armstrong; son, Eric Shelton Armstrong, (wife Lisa); daughter, Amy Armstrong Reedy (husband, Bill) and grandson, Wyatt Armstrong Reedy.Preceeded in death by mother and fatherm Lela Mae and Eric Russell Armstrong; and seven brothers and sisters.A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday June 14, 2013, at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, 3405 Peerless Road, in Cleveland Tenn., Rev. Robert Smith officiating. Receiving friends from noon- 1 p.m. prior to the memorial service.Family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, P.O. Box 2151, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38101-2151, in lieu of flowers.
