Mary May

Mary Elizabeth Sweatt May, 97, passed away on, Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Alexian Village.Mary grew up in Nashville, Tenn., before moving to Chattanooga, Tenn., in 1949. She was a homemaker. Mary was an active member of Northside Presbyterian Church, Charter member of the Stuart Heights Garden Club and member of the Women's Republican Association.Mary is preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years Ewell Pat May; parents John Thomas and Betty Elizabeth Sweatt; seven brothersMary leaves to cherish her memories daughters Linda May (Rob) Low, of Washington, D.C., Kathy May (Ronnie) McClister, of Signal Mountain, Tenn.; 4 grandchildren Rebecca Low, of Washington, D.C., David Low, of Houston, TX, Zach (Ange) McClister, of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Katherine (Ron) Kountz, Chattanooga, Tenn.Two great-granddaughters Laney McClister and May Kountz The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and the entire staff of Alexian for their excellent and loving care for our mother. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 18 from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at Northside Presbyterian Church, 923 Mississippi Ave., Chattanooga, TN 37405.A celebration of life service will be conducted at Noon on Tuesday at Northside Presbyterian Church with Clay Davis officiating.
